Choosing a manufacturer is not only about the lowest quotation. A reliable partner should be able to explain the product structure, control samples and specifications, support testing, document quality checks and communicate realistic production limits.
1. Verify the factory and legal entity
Ask for the legal company name, facility address, business registration, factory photos or video, and a live walkthrough when needed. Confirm who will sign the sales contract and receive payment.
2. Evaluate product-development knowledge
A capable supplier should ask about your target player, price, shape, weight, face material, core thickness, approval requirements and annual volume before recommending a product.
3. Control the sample-to-production transition
Agree on a golden sample, specification sheet, artwork, packaging and tolerances. The goal is to make the approved sample repeatable—not just attractive.
4. Review quality checkpoints
Discuss incoming materials, process inspections, weight and dimension checks, appearance standards, packaging inspection and any performance tests required by your buyer.
5. Confirm certification scope
Any USAPA or other approval must match the exact model. Request current documentation and avoid using certification badges on unrelated products.
6. Judge communication quality
Good communication includes clear assumptions, written confirmations, early risk warnings and realistic lead times.

- What face materials and constructions do you produce in-house?
- What is the MOQ for stock shape, custom artwork and custom tooling?
- How do you approve samples and control mass production?
- Which tests and certifications can you support?
- What information do you need for an accurate quotation?
